Islander Alumna Perseveres through Cancer Diagnosis to Obtain Two Bachelor’s Degrees

Islander Alumna Lauren Graham always knew she wanted to go into the medical field. Her mother is a nurse, and her father works in a hospital, so it was natural that she would find herself in medicine, though her path is distinct, as she has journeyed through a devastating diagnosis to receive two different degrees from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

College of Nursing and Health Sciences Honors More than 180 Graduating Students

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CONHS) held its Hooding and Recognition Ceremony on Friday, May 15, to honor more than 180 students earning their degrees during the spring 2015 semester. The ceremony was held at the Performing Arts Center at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

Thirty-five Nursing Students Join Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society

New members were inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing on May 14 in the Performing Arts Center at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Each student was pledged on stage and received a lavender and white honorary cord, along with an inductee ribbon, from Eta Omicron Chapter officers.

Current Updates and New Information


Texas A& M University at Corpus Christi College of Nursing will be hosting  an accreditation visit site visit for the Baccalaureate and Masters programs by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) October 19-21, 2015.  CCNE policy requires that institutions provide an opportunity for the program’s identified communities of interest including students, faculty and the practice community including potential employers to provide written input into the deliberations of the evaluation team. Written and signed third-party comments will be accepted by CCNE up to 21 days (September 28th, 2015) prior to the start of the accreditation visit.  All comments should be directed to:
